Another track with shuffle. Im also experimenting with the audio-in of the pulv, a feature the I haven't use a lot until now (:

Edit : added a crusher on the main melody in the middle to create a "gap" between the melody and the pad.

Edit2 : eq-ed the whole thing, add a compressor, played for 45minutes with the levels -.-' ... lowered the openhat level. Added some punch to some synths (0 attack ftw). Kind of reduced the crusher level on the main melody.

Enjoy.

  • j'adore :)

  • ReFav.Very nice!

  • I think the beginning is too long but i like the melodic synth you have and the chords. and I really like the swing feel the hats give. the crusher could still lay off a bit. this will always be one of my favorites. mastering... not soo much, really just EQing and compressing. i add an EQ and compressor on everything to make sure at least each one is boosted at a certain frequency and to control the volume instead of having to lower and raise the volume everytime it seems too soft or loud

  • i need to try it too...experimentation required

  • Ahh, good to know, I'll try that some time (:

  • sometimes thats what you want, cutting off some mids can leave room for the highs and lowes...and proper usage can make smooth pads or brighter leads

  • I find it weird to cut off entire freq bands. It create a gap between instruments for sure, but you lose some sounds, may sound "raw"

  • no...not really

  • Im not using the eq of the centroid, i prefer the pedals, but it's probably easier to eq on one interface instead of using dozens of pedals XD. About this track, any tip or suggestions ?

  • EQ just messes with the frequencies within a channel, and the centroid brings in 3 of them (high, mid, low). If you opt for aggressive EQinn, you can cut off entire bands from an instrument, process that leads to interesting results (per my studies)

  • Yeah, i think i mean something like eq-ing more than mastering XD

  • at least to understand what mastering is....
