Now the kickdrum on this sounds really nice. I like how there's enough room for the percussion to chill in. What I think you should do however is make the hi-hats more louder and take out some of the high end and give it more midrange. I like this song a lot actually or beat, whatever you call it.

And EQ'ing doesn't always help. Sometimes you've gotta change the whole waveform using resampling

For example, in some songs you don't always hear the kickdrum because the basses are extremely intense

Usually for me though I want the drums to be in your face kinda thing rather than just in the background.

But about the hats, I've heard SO MANY mixes where the hats are extremely loud and I think I've developed a paranoia of sorts with that. I love hats, but I'd rather them be too quiet for some than too loud. Again, generally I dont have these kind of issues as much anymore with mixing
