Sometimes when I'm failing at writing what I want to write, I just look up some weird EDM subgenre and listen to that for a while. It shows in a couple tracks (or drafts) that I make until I lose interest. It's an easy way to get inspired and it gets you thinking differently, in terms of production.
I have the time, but no inspiration for stuff like this anymore. All I feel like doing is chill stuff now; not sure why. It's not that I don't enjoy EDM anymore, I just find that some of my stuff is getting very carbon-copy and I don't like that.
