  • yo yo i did it

tho i kinda went off the rails a bit...

    whoops

  • sorry too many synths lad

    computer won't handle it :(

  • its been a while since i opened a track that isnt mine. sounds like there is only 3 different unique synths playing at once but you have like 20 synths in the draft lol

    • The compressor can keep it at the same db, but the lufs are the only things that change. Lufs are and illusion of perceived loudness. You can have an insanely loud sound, but that doesn't mean that it's loud in db. It can be -12 db, and still come through if the lufs are really high. I suggest you study lufs as soon as possible, they are extremely valuable information. Also that is why AT's limiter sucks. It's limiting with db, not lufs

    • Sometimes leveling isn't enough. If a sound is loud, turning down the volume will only decrease the volume. If you use a compressor, it can automatically push down the sound, wherever it is loudest, and you can have manual automatic control over what's happening. Just don't over do the compression. Just a small threshold, and 5-30ms of attack. The release is important, but was harder for me to understand at first. If the release is low, it's more distorted, if it's higher it's softer
