In most cases I agree. Ambient tracks can be longer and repetitve in my opinion.

shorter, powerful tracks is really where i shine with linger tracks i sometimes struggle keeping the emotion

i might do that, but then i kinda feel like im cheating out my audience

i just know what i want, or recreate or bring in synths i’ve already made, and then redo them entirely LOL
