But i have noticed some type of success when doing it the other way and trying to make up a melody or something. Like in ATD'15, I started with the pad etc and it was more melodically then some of my other ones.
uf, Cant go for Graphic, Go for Kodama. Graphic was my first actual attempt at making drum n bass three years ago, i was still a fresh new user. My Pattern is, Drums first then bass then if i can, go for a chord or melody etc.
To be fair it was a little while ago now! And yeah man, props to anyone that reliably knows and can count on their creative process! I thought I used to know mine but I guess not haha. Such is music eh, i love it haha

I'd say its a collection of both. Since I don't know how to progress in a track , i get demotivated.
