(Im the Original Author of this Poem >:( !!!) By Kaylee Leturgez Sadness doesn’t always shout, It slips in when the lights go out. It sits beside you, still and small, A whisper curling down the hall. It hides behind a silent stare, In smiles you wear just like a dare. It lingers in the words unsaid, And tucks itself inside your bed. It fills your chest with heavy air, A storm you feel, but no one’s there. It turns the brightest skies to gray, And makes the world seem far away. You try to fight, you try to breathe, But sadness doesn’t always leave. It doesn’t knock or make a sound— It just appears, and pulls you down. Yet even in that silent space, A flicker waits—a quiet grace. And though the dark may cloud your view, You are more than just the weight of blue.
