Wanted to say all that when the thread was fresh but I forgot so here it is now months later :p

Here's the thing tho (and this might come off strong): You don't HAVE to have a clap, you don't HAVE to make all the basslines quarter notes. And if that is your take away from listening to whomever, then it's time to branch out. More than likely they're either generic as fuck or they just like that basic flow (I fall into both of these). I like what you do and the idea that you can make cooler stuff if you dropped some trends is awesome. I would know since I listen to folks that already do :)

I mean thats why i love dubstep, you can do some really sick ass offbeat hits to spice things up the normal 1 and 3 pattern is just predictable and thats why people often call dubstep "generic"

Thing is, nobody has tried making DIY effects up till now. im just one of the first people to really expand on it doesn't mean my tracks are A M A Z I N G i hate this bc the drop structure is generic, its a call with the same response over and over i could prolly expand on this but idk at this point since i utterly despise Riddim since its O N L Y a 4/4 kick clap kick clap pattern.
