I guess the atonality is that the harmony never seems to agree on a mode. Even in modality, usually the harmony, bass, countermelody, and even most of the time melody are only fifths or fourths apart. I guess atonality was the wrong word, just clashing modes.
Dissonance and Atonality? A sus4 to some does come off as dissonant, I suppose. But the atonality I don't really hear. If anything, it's more modal than atonal..nothing is out of key.. even the reversed piano is tonal. It has a major tonality through out. Thanks for listening though, what you hear is interesting ^^
Yeah, I like this. It's got a strange melancholy that you just don't hear too often. There is a lot of dissonance, and for the most part, it's almost atonal in sound, but I think the character of the track actually _calls_ for dissonance and atonality.
