cleaned it up a little bit :) thanks for all the feedback!

  • I'm finding myself agreeing with what a lot of people are saying in the comments. There's definitely clipping that could be fixed, some of the transitions are weird, and the drop isn't so impactful as it was hyped up to be. I think there's a lot of places that need better mixing too. Those are just a few of the things that could be fixed...

    • hmmm thanks. i'm getting a feel for what I need to work on. big thanks to you and everyone for the feedback! it's been really helpful! <3

    • Yea that too...

      I agree lmao

  • Mixing isn't about EQs and Plugins. Mixing is taking rough recorded stems, and sculpting them to sound complimentary. Since we're making electronic music and not recording, you can think of your track as a blank audio canvas. Sounds are colors and you get to decide how you paint. You should be able to have a good sounding track without any plugins at all.

    • i appreciate what you do for the advancement of the musical community.

    • should first focus on practicing the musical part of producing music! haha! i have been on here for almost to years and have hated most of what i make, so i rarely publish anything because i am ashamed of it. i was so confused about why i wasn't getting better and already have quit on my dreams multiple times. i have only kept coming back because of my love for music, and it turns out the answer was right in front of my face the whole time!!! well... thanks for the epiphany, haha! ;)

    • Great. Muskies. i am tempted to use all caps but that would make it seem like i'm shouting, so i will instead say that the tone i'm using for this sentence is very passionate: that just entirely changed my approach to mixing! it's common sense but also genius. i've spent hours watching tutorials on how to properly eq saying "less is more" and "cut before you boost" which are solid tips and advice, but i got so caught up in trying to learn the technical stuff which should come later. i first shou

  • Hi hat is completely off. its too different.

kick has the worst frequency range ever to fucking exist.

    transitions are mediocre at best.

too quiet even at full volume.

    compression thresh to low.

a good chorus arp in the back could do a favor.

i think i sorta fixed it.

  • 4:26 idk what's wrong with the mixing, but something's not quite right :/

  • I love the intro m8 it all was cool until 0:38 , didn't like that hat sample, that build is p cool, but i expected so much more the drop, whats the original song?

  • I like the trap breakdowns especially with the triplets in the second verse!

Now the snare/clap sample could be better but eh...

Also, I don't know how I feel about the chord stabs and the lead...

It could be better but I think it's fine since this is your first remix...

Well, thank you for choosing my song to remix first! Hopefully you'll get better at mixing!

    • You are welcome! C:

    • yeah I went out on a limb with that lead. it's more grainy than I usually use haha! I really appreciate the feedback it's very helpful!
