I definitely took INSPIRATION from Alan Walker and Porter Robinson when I made this track- which was a ton of fun to make, by the way!!! Specifically, the first drop was more on the "Walker style" side, while the second drop and beyond basically used a similar structure from the drop in Robinson's "Goodbye To A World". I wanted to use a slightly different different chord progression from the ones I normally use, and spice things up with a bpm change and other features. I still made sure to include the little things in there that make it my style (minus high pitch edm arp, I didn't know how to fit that one in this time and I don't think this track really suited it). Anyway, I tried to make this track more powerful and sort of emotional. I hope you guys enjoy this one as much as I enjoyed creating this one. I hope it can leave an impact, like certain EDM artists impact me.

Question about the first drop: how do I edit it so that the melody shines through in the second part of the first drop, if you know what I mean? I was trying to get it to go through but I'm pretty sure the chords are interfering with it. I have a feeling it has something to do with the frequencies... I need help with that. Anyone, please give me advice for how to fix it.

Another question: How do I get the white noise to sound better? It randomly gets louder, noticeably in the first drop, despite having looped ghost sidechain on it...

  • I DID NOT KNOW THIS COULD BE INSPIRATIONAL AND GOOD AT THE SAME TIME!!!0o0

  • Constructive Critique: try using less synths and more effect plug-ins, although I do appreciate minimalism, you'll find with very slight changes, you can drastically improve your sounds.

Love the feelings that are portrayed through your music. Stay classy, and keep working hard :)

  • remids me of knolwedge is power

  • Dang, how is this ranked lower than mine!? Mine doesn't even deserve to chart compared to this!!! It is SOOO good bro no joke this track is going to be what I listen to every single morning to become inspired :D Well done! It sounds exactly like a track that Alan Walker would make :))))

    • Aww, this comment really made my day- or night, rather. I worked really hard to make this sound decent and inspiring, so it's great to know that my track accomplished this in your eyes. I'm glad to hear this from you- thank you :)

  • invite me to this lol I'll try to clean it up hahahaha

    I really love this

    • And done! You should be invited to the remix now.

    • Alright, I'll get going on that :D

I had a feeling you'd want to end up changing a lot and that's why I presented that option, I think it'd be better personally. And don't worry, I'm aware of the lag, I had to bounce the timeline countless times to make sure I was producing decent stuff XD

    • I'll do my best to mix it hahaha

you can invite me to a new remix of it cuz I might change a lot of stuff

warning: expect a lot of lag xD

  • Hey, I finally made another longer EDM track! These days it's usually just one drop- but not this time! Anyway, I have a question about the first drop: how do I edit it so that the melody shines through in the second part of the first drop, if you know what I mean? I was trying to get it to go through but I'm pretty sure the chords are interfering with it. I have a feeling it has something to do with the frequencies... I need help with that. • Ooh, yeah you're on to something! I like those ideas, thanks. Maybe I'll mess with it later and see if I can get something interesting going with those ideas.

    • like for the saws maybe have them go twice the speed or if you really wanna spice it up, throw some triplets in there

    • oh if youre talking about that, then try messing with the rhythm of the saws and make the melody repeat each note in sets of fours in the same amount of time so you have 4 rapid notes for each of the original melody notes, or however many it takes spaced out equally to the next note.

    edited sub bass at intro

  • damn i kinda wanna remix this

  • Nice one m8

    • Yeah np dude. Keep working! With more ideas like this Im sure you soon turn into one of the greats on this website.

    • Thanks dude :)

  • sub is too loud in the beginning. maybe put it on an automation so it fades in with the rest of the sound at 0:43 but still a bit lower so it isnt taking up all the space. its fine at the drop but up until that point it's too loud. it's fine in the second half since it meshes nicely so no need to changeit there. Everything else is awesome. love the mels. nice work

  • Really love the concept. U shld learn how to EQ, and maybe add more effects to ur sounds, i'm sure it will spice it up and keep the frequencies in check, but really cool idea tho

    • Thanks! Btw, I totally screwed up with my recent republishing of it, so I hope you didn't hear the messed up version of it. I just republished it, I forgot to enable the majority of the track before republishing lmao

  • OH SHIT I MESSED UP ON THE REPUBLISHING NOOOOOOOO
