Despite you saying that you relied more on sound design and then stating that you had a lack of effects. You did really great. I love the little textures and the layering of sounds. The reverb makes a good amount of emotional value to your song too believe it or not. Your pads are storytelling and each time they hit on the song it holds a big thing to my heart. I would highly recommend to not doubt yourself and be confident. Because I've heard songs on Audiotool with not enough effort.

Songs with not enough effort because they had no knowledge at all of what they were doing. And just slapped samples that weren't their own. They should instead carefully craft the soundscape together so it's like making your own gourmet meal like you're a chef.
