out of the past few years i've been on this site i always see you complaining about it. which is fair but then you do it for the 4th time, 5th time, 6th time, 7th... ok now it's getting a little boring. what makes you choose to make hating audiotool your entire personality and presence on the audiotool boards? why are you still here? why can't you move on? i'm asking out of genuine curiosity and in hopes to make you think about what you're doing i guess

yeah, one of the big big big reasons i started trying new daws was because the audiotool tools just felt way too limiting and it would get in the way of having fun. idk, for most daws you just pay once and you keep it forever. you can never ever own audiotool no matter what. it may just disappear one day, which sucks too

also just as a side thing i never truly understand how people synergise with the "limitations breed creativity" thing. I've never been so free and I've created so much cool new things and learnt way more and had a lot of fun. it's weird

yeah idk, i have been using audiotool for 10 years and once i got used to other ui's i realised they were much easier and faster to use. i could definitely do everything or most things from other daws on audiotool but it just takes longer. the opposite is not the same, it doesn't take long to make an audiotool track on another daw

after using other daws for a while, audiotool's ux and ui are pretty dated. i used to think audiotool was innovative but only a little bit. The big thing i miss is the entire experience of automation handling. The clips, the vertical snapping, the easy way to change a value of a node. It's all very fast and audiotool excels at that. But that's about it. I could go on about many things that other daws do better but that's for an individual to choose. One thing is for certain, audiotool's ui = old

I don't think audiotool is as efficient as you are saying tbh. In my experience of the 6+ years using it versus ableton or fl, it takes way longer to set up things in AT that you have done a thousand times than other DAWs. this isn't a limitation, the same way not having serum is a limitation, this is an inconvenience imo, this doesn't improve the DAW or make you think in other ways you didn't before

biggest issue i think, is the fact that AT makes you do p much everything from scratch, even if it's things you have already set up before
