that is a fucking smart way to type, my friend
what if i just typed all my most used phrases or something and then have them on a notepad so when i need one, i can copy paste it?
i think that would work pretty well
so yeah that's how all this was done
i think those with the capability to do this 100% should, as there are countless other ways to use this other than how i did. i've already kinda explored applying these same concepts to drums, and it's pretty interesting.
anyways those are my secrets, have fun
for example: me turning a knob all the way up could make the amp sustain go to 100%, but maybe turn my cutoff frequency down to 350hz. i did this on Most of the parameters on the pulv and that's where half of the magic is. the other half is that my midi controller has a built-in and very customizable arppegiator. it lets you change the note size, the mode of arppegiation, the swing percentage, everything. i was just playing chords and turning knobs semi-randomly really, the setup was everything.
i was thinking about keeping it a secret but i figured i might as well let it be known
for starters this whole track was really more of a live performance than a proper production, the only things added after were the effects and eq. to make this i used a midi controller and i assigned every knob to multiple parameters on the pulv. i learned that you can assign two different parameters (in the midi setup settings in the studio) to the same knob, but have the knob affect them differently.
If anyone is able to translate this from Alien to English, I'd be grateful. Very interested in what they have to say.
god damn man
This is absolutely amazing
this should be the showcase for the power of the synths on audiotool.
