yeah soundtrap has some really good pianos. thats why it sounded familiar, but last time i heard the same grand piano, they said it was from FL.

yeah i usually slap an eq on everythign myself.

Put eq on basically everything. The idea is to cut out all the clashing freqs, so the track flows nicely on the parts where there's layers. If you're making a bass, just use curve to lowpass, boost, ect...
Eqing is actually incredibly simple. All you need is good headphones to hear the freqs. You'll get the hang of it pretty quickly when you start using it.
