Have synthwave elements in rock & metal music been completely ruined yet or can I still do it
I know a lot of people really dislike modern metal’s current obsession with atmospheric sound effects, sampling and genre bleeding but I am still primarily an electronic artist and I’m relatively new to the genre so I still find it cool
We're in the same boat lol. I've personally encountered a lot of people who are gate-keepy about the whole thing but I'll continue making what I like. There's still a lot of people who I've shown my alt-rock/metal projects to equally so it's a hit or miss.

As for music news, I’ve canceled my next album “The Neon Age” due to a combination of burnout and scope creep (still trying to write a concept album ig) and I will be publishing the tracks I don’t plan on keeping soon. I’ve started work on a new space-themed album currently titled “Earth to I” that may or may not be out next year if my brain allows me to follow through on a plan
Currently I’m sitting on:
All Neon Age demos
Outlaw’s Revenge (7 minute instrumental I made back in 2024)
Curse of the Kraken (8+ minute instrumental I started last year but didn’t finish)
Eye of the Storm EP (instrumental metal album made in one day)
“Van Virux” (not the real title, a collection of hair/glam metal experiments)
And a bunch of riff dumps
