    it's kind of weird that when people got bored of music they started asking for gimmicks and then when they didn't like the gimmicks they started appreciating regular music again

      that's usually where innovation comes from, compensation

      by compensating for your lack of skill on physical instruments you open the door to other options that would otherwise not exist
