Get started
Six short pages take you from the Audiotool interface to your first track. Learn the basics, add sounds, record audio and MIDI, automate, and design your own sounds.
New to Audiotool? Read these pages in order. Each one builds on the one before and ends with something you can hear in your project.
- Basics: the transport bar, Timeline, Library, Studio, Mixer, and on-screen piano, and what each area is for.
- Add Sounds: add instruments, drums, and samples, and arrange them on the timeline.
- Record Audio: record a microphone or an instrument into an Audio Track.
- Record MIDI: play and record with a MIDI keyboard or controller.
- Automate: draw automation or record it by moving a control.
- Design your Sound: shape sounds with synthesizers, effects, and routing.
When you know your way around, the editors, the mixer, and the device pages go into detail.
