Latency
Latency is the delay before you hear a key, an input, or a fader move. The master limiter adds a noticeable delay while it is on. The VST Bridge sets its own with Blocksize.
Latency is the delay before you hear something you just did: a key, a monitored input, a fader move.
The master limiter adds a noticeable delay while it is enabled, which is why it is off by default. If playing or recording feels late, turn the limiter off first. Turn it back on when you want that protection against clipping and you are no longer listening to yourself play.
Plugins through the VST Bridge run on your computer, on a separate path. Host, Device, and Blocksize in the Bridge set that delay. The number that matters is Actual Blocksize. The lowest setting documented there is a block size of 128. Recording through the Bridge can still be later than recording without it, even at that block size. For a tight part, record without the Bridge and add the plugin after.
